it's hard to say, as I did it in multiple sittings. Coloring it (I think) took 4-5 hours

Tailored, that's the secret ya see. The uniforms were made to look very smart...and they do. And to be a picky and specific WW2 knowledged dragon, them Nazi's are SS, though minus the insignia. As only they wore the Black uniforms (well, the Panzer corps did as well, but they were tank men, so wouldn't really be on a ship...though the Assault gun tanks wore the artillery green as they were classed as a sub-section of the German artillery regiment)

I'm coming up with a character who is a former nazi soldier/scientist. I want to know whitch nazi soldier type would most likely fit that.

Well, the scientists were that, scientists, civilians but in the employ of the Government/military. If you want to focus on the soldier side, what kind you after, basic Joe bloggs on the lines or a more specialist unit perhaps?

Nazis were based in Germany and came from germany first. Everyone attributes Nazis with Germans, even though there were Nazis elsewhere (heck, there's Nazis in america now). Besides, poodles just aren't that intimidating. ;)

I was originally going to make them german shepards, but they just looked to fluffy and cuddly. Dobermans are just easy to make look sinister.

they actually do what they do because they WANT people to assault them. They always have someone off to the side following them with a camera, and if anyone comes at them physically they catch it on camera and sue. When I see this I think Indiana Jones or other pulp fiction like Johnny Canuck, The Shadow, Sky Captain, ect.
Which is kind of neat, I've always liked the genre and thought it would suite anthro art quite well.

It's nice. If I may nitpick, though, the motion blur implies a hook, but it looks like his arm is throwing a straight by its rigidity. Putting a bend in the elbow will correct that. Otherwise, good job. :3

I love seeing things about WWII fiction or not I find both WWI and WWII most interesting wars. I'd done a school project once during middle school I believe about Hitler.
I found out these things:

1.Hitler was an Artist
2.Hitler liked Walt Disney's "Snow white and the seven dwarfs" & "Pinnochio"
3.Hitler drew 2 Dwarfs from "Snow white" and Pinnochio from "Pinnochio" http://www.poormojo.org/pmjadaily/a.....ives/ahdoc.jpg
4.Reason for Hitler to like "Snow White" was because it's an old German Folktale
