I think it's mostly the black outline. Just a silly personal preference to have no outline.

Yeah. I liked the non-outlined better too. I think with this nose though, there's actually more pink underneath it. To remove it would definitely give him a Jew nose. Dun want that. x.x

Trying to think up anything that could make him shine even more...though I think Joecifur has done an absolutely FANTASTIC job on him already. He is getting sent back Monday, which is why I am searching for feedback now.

I like the follow-me eyes on the first version, since they seem like it's pulled off really well and not too creepy or in shadow.. however the iris on the second one I like more. I also like the non-outlined nose. Both are awesome, of course!

Love the new version the most. It has a bit more pop of color to it, expescially the eyes.

Honestly, I like the old one, it looked better blended. The new patterns look very blotchy like they don't flow and the lining of the nose makes it look really boxy. That little bit of a "smile" added to the jaw makes the muzzle look boxy and the eyes on the outside like that I have never liked, makes the head look flat and does not compliment the brow or the cheek bones. Over all I liked the first one better, it was smoother and had a much better flow to the shape and expression. But that is just my opinion the majority likes the new head so I'm sure people will enjoy the new you.

Hmm, I see what you mean. I appreciate the feedback for sure. I'm still trying to figure out what else I can have done to make the new one shine kinda like the old one, but with the new iris's and such. I'm thinking of having the eyes pulled back again, and the black around the nose replaced with white. What do you think would help it 'flow' better?

Well the big thing is that the head itself is indeed short, but the lack of thick markings and the spacing of the nose and eyes made it still look slim, the new ones have really drawn attention to how short and boxy the head really is. I do think having the eyes pulled back would help a lot since they look to be set on top of the jaw bone and not behind it, that alone would really give the slim look back because it would add space between them and the nose. Funny enough the lining seems to make the nose look longer and wider instead of outline it, if the strip was perhaps an off white or at least very thin it would still make the nose stand out but not make it look so boxy. Those two alone would help everything.

Yeah, I agree with you. I was thinking that those were the two issues, but I wasn't sure. I can definitely see how these can make a huge difference. I'll be sure to mention it to Joe. Thank you so much for the feedback! If you have any more, I'm all ears!

Meaning the head itself is small and the space from the end of the muzzle to the eyes is indeed short, It is a short muzzled head if that helps.

It's all a matter of opinion when it comes to cartoon versions of real animals. I gave my opinion and the owner and I discussed it, I'm sure he will look at yours as well.

The short muzzle is actually a good thing IMHO. As it IS a feline, a longer muzzle would look awkward. I'm shooting for a midway look between realism and cartoon, so I'd mostly like for the anatomy to be correct, but you are right that it all is a matter of opinion when it comes to cartoon. I've seen many cartoon cats that had looong muzzles.

I always liked the first one, but I LOVE the second one. The nose, the outline, the eyes, and the slightly happier looking upper jaw line....

Yeah, I was looking at it and I think the eyes pop a bit too much now. I'm discussing having the eyes recessed like they were in the first one, but keeping the new iris's and such. Gonna definitely have the black removed and white outline put in place of it. Just working on the final touches and really trying to figure out the best way to keep him. No more changes after this weekend!

imo, i think the new head is pretty sweet and i absolutely love the new eyes and smile line -- i think they made a huge difference.

can't wait for him to get my cat shape done! :3
