That's why I like some older country at least, the stories they tell.

I agree and I don't usually listen to country music. There is some older stuff that I do like though. Me, my sister and brother used to listen to a Jim Stafford record over and over when we were kids. My favorite story was "Swamp Witch." The name "Tom T. Hall" rings a bell, but I couldn't name a single song by him, although I have probably heard some of his stuff throughout my earlier years.

Yeah there's some good stuff out there for sure! Just have to stumble across it. Heh.

He will be missed but Tom T. Hall will not be forgotten. He'll always be in our hearts.

Nanci Griffith (1953-2021) passed away recently as well. Her songs blended folk, country and a little pop. R.I.P. both of them.

I've never heard of Tom Hall. Just listened to "I Like Beer" for the first time, I believe... It's pretty funny! Reminds me of some songs I've heard from Da Yoopers.

Is that the one that goes "I like beer. It makes me a jolly good fellow...?"

Never mind. I found it on YouTube and answered my own question. LOL!
