Mari greets Ulgan, a chieftain of one of the Wotterdam villages.
the two seem to be friends, having met before. Hopefully their daughters will become as friendly as their parents are.
Usually the Illustration of the Month is fully rendered, but alas, I'm behind on a lot of artwork, so I needed to wrap this one up.
Still, its cool to see more of Mari and her daughter Yuki, as well as show more of the Wotterdam Otters. The homes are inspired by the tall stilted houses I saw in Vietnam.
the roofs have a viking feel to them (hopefully you caught that) and yet the otters have a Pacific Islander look to them. So many inspirations just for one culture!
