I finally got around to coloring this in, and I'm fairly happy with it! Through some photoshop juggling, I managed to combine the baselines of the red panda & canine to get the fluffy face tanuki are known for. I edited around the other portions of the original, such as getting rid of the border, making my own color palette, and adding a blue background to help accentuate the browns. The added icing on top of this cake is the leaf wreath (crown) around the ear. This has been edited many times.
