He will hunt you in the night
You must prepare, for he will bite
His fangs as sharp as a knife
So dark
So cold
He could easily take a life
The villagers run mad
Screaming and crying
For the dragon they face, they believe is bad
The soldiers prepared for a battle
But the dragon, he did not so much as look at a farmer's cattle.
The priestess of the lands gave a prayer to protect
A barrier around her village, saving even an insect.
When the dragon did not move from his place in the sky
The people all gathered, asking each other, "Why?"

The beast was not here to take anyone's soul
He yearns only for love
To make him feel whole.
