Day 22, the final stretch, starting the 'Adult Series' of Dragons!

Red Dragons are very avid hunters. Due to their generalist build, they are capable of hunting both "small" and extremely large prey. When a Red Dragon becomes a part of an ecosystem it will dominate all other predators in the area, effectively taking the right to the best hunting spots.
Usually, Red Dragons will carry prey to their lair in order to eat it at their leisure (as seen here with Lestrad as an example). Fortunately, for all the other predators, when they take down really large prey (such as a Titandilus or a Crowned Neobehemoth) they aren't always able to do that. Carcases of extremely large and heavy animals are often left behind (minus the tastiest parts) and serve as an important source of food for every other large carnivore in the area. Those predators that learned to be patient and wait for the dragon to have his/her fill often can have a fairly easy life (all they need to do is to submit and swallow their pride... if they have any).
