STORY SNIPPET!!!!!!!!!
Impressive…most impressive. Donovan huffed under a whisper of his breath
The Vampire couldn't believe his eyes, the Spragon Assassin proved herself quite well in this duel. The lady killer intercepted all of the Black prince’s moves, her form was able to adapt to his fancy footwork that he favored so much. They clashed their blades and moved swiftly, their movement imitated that of a dance…..a dance of death. She was no lowly assassin. The Slayers Association indeed paid top dollar for this one to pursue him. She was able to track him back to one of the many Gyoku estates that were invisible to mortal eyes. Something his Nemesis, Vincent, couldn't do. An Elite Slayer had difficulty finding him, but this freelance assassin is the closest to tracking him down. It would be a shame for him to kill her; the world needed monsters like him and her.
How would they get out of this intense battle that promised one to live and one to die? He clearly plucked one too many chords to make the Assassin enter blood lustful rage that would make a Viking berserker blush in envy. There was something odd about this fury of hers, her anger wasn't blind and wild. It was controlled and very brutal. He could feel it in every cut she successfully landed on him, each slash felt like a molten hot razor. He should’ve kept his mouth shut. All those daunting words of his got her in a frenzy. Her eyes glowered in a heavy ruby red; his own eyes glowed in the same blood hungry hue. They both circled one another, both silent, ready to make a strike or receive the strike.
He had to stop this. He wasn't interested in dying, and he didn't want to take her life. She would be an excellent ally. He cursed fate for placing himself and the Lady Killer against one another. Come on, Black prince of war, what could you do? The two lurched again in the same time. Their rapiers rang loud and pristine like silver bells every time either of them deflected blows. She was getting better, the lithe dark and gold furred assassin flanked him, instantly seeking an opening. Without hesitation, she jutted the pommel of her sword against his back, landing a successful shot.
The Vampyre grunted at the deceptive maneuver, his back flinched at the spine breaking blow that would've been the end for any mortal. He gave a hop to make room between him and her. Every time she strikes, she’ll have a much better move to counter. This was most likely due to his interest to keep her alive rather than kill her. He couldn't just drop his swords and wave his arms up and surrender. His Vampyre pride cried a "Hell no" to it, and it would be dishonorable to his family name. Most of all, she was there to kill him, and they both agreed in this duel. He had to have a much better method to resolve this without either one of them dying. Suddenly, a thought shot through him like an illuminating light bulb, the scheme he was presented was just too perfect to execute. He failed to keep a poker face about it, his lips creased into a sinister grin.
“I am going to wipe that fucking stupid smile off your face!”
The Assassin hissed through her teeth, making an offensive forward lunge with one of her sabers she held.
Excellent, she is going for it…maybe his taunts still had worth.
Donovan deflected her lunge with his own saber, his other saber ready to receive the other. Unfortunately, the assassin, twirled out of the way, spinning to the side of him. Damn little sneak, she is mimicking his own footwork! He turned to face her, only to be greeted by two blades thrusting directly to him, both aiming for his heart.
He could watch the shiny metal come towards him, time felt like it slowed down, sounds around him became muffled, he only had nanoseconds to spare and they were dwindling quickly. With haste, he sprung his trap. He crossed his own rapiers, parrying both of the incoming blades. Before she could riposte, the Vampire shoved his entire body weight forward. Both of their blades remained bonded, the sudden move caused the Lady Assassin to stumble against the hard oak wall.
The Assassin attempted to strike, only to find both of her sabers raised above her head. The bastard blade-locked her! Before she could stare into his face with animosity, she was met with his lips against hers. This was gentle, but deep. There was no hint of passion or lust behind it. It was the kind of kiss a young high school sweet heart would give for the first time. Her eyes widened, the Spragon’s mind went blank; all her twisted thoughts on how to cruelly kill this illusive weasel, who kept a cold trail for nearly a year, vanished. Her lust for drenching herself in his blood faded.
The Black prince on the other hand, indulged himself....
And then she bites his lips. XP
