Artisan was forced to learn many prince and noble acts, due to being forced, he can easily play any instrument such as a harp, violin, cello, or piano. Out of all those instruments, he prefers the violin as its very relaxing and it even kept Sandoku since he often played it near his room. He used to play it to keep up with royal duties, but after leaving the Onyx Kingdom, he started playing it for fun, it also mellows him out and he plays it with the other Ragtag Rogues. Melody was even interested that Artisan knew how to play a violin masterfully. He was playing when he and the other ragtags went to equestria, Rainbow Dash of course being the pranking type tried to pull a prank on Artisan.
Sandoku (while under Pampaku's control) turned rainbow dash into a thick diaper. When Sandoku woke up, he saw a rainbow diaper and thought Artisan would like to try it. Artisan taped Rainbow Dash around his waist and admired how poofy she was. Sandoku saw Artisan dust off an old violin he purchased and asked if he could play it again. Artisan doesn't play the violin with his horn since that's how his parents forced him, even the other ponies and ragtag's were amazed he was able to play the violin with his hooves. Some admired Artisan music while other's liked the diaper he was wearing, the ragtags of course knew it was the real Rainbow Dash, at least she gets a front row seat to Artisan playing.

Artisan is a master of many instruments, but he prefers the violin as it kept Sandoku sane within the Onyx Kingdom, besides being a talented artist, he likes to enjoy some soothing songs from time to time, even Melody joins in with her singing, which Artisan likes. If Artisan plays the violin just right, it could anyone sleep peacefully, even he has a hard time keeping himself awake. The Ragtag's even pitched in and bought a really fancy one and he often plays in the moonlight at the ragtag household. Sandoku likes to hear it as a pleasing Melody while Sophie can also do some formal dancing to it.
