"Harrison, the black and white Border Collie dog, had a bright future ahead of him. He was approached by a group of government officials, well noticing the black and white dog's high intelligence, his high athletic and acrobatic skills, his extreme energeticness to whatever he does sometimes - though leading to him being quite hyperactive and a little bit destructive when Harrison gets super excited. Importantly, they also noticed him being responsive and high alert on his surroundings. The latter two being the huge reason why he was approached. Harrison, to no shock, was very, VERY excited for this opportunity. Unfornately for the poor dog, that opportunity would have to come later as he found himself in a magical predicament.
He was sitting on a bench one day, at the park when a toddler came up to the dog, holding a colourful pink, yellow and baby blue rattle that was connected to a black string necklace. From the looks of it, the mysterious toddler raised their rattle, wanting to play with the black and white dog. With nothing much to do and figured it's just a baby looking for some attention, he agreed to play with them... or so he thought? As he grabbed the rattle, he shook it a bit, causing the rattle to glow, and then... poof! Magically, he had shunken down, now wearing the same outfit that the toddler had (A red pacifier, a red Elmo T-Shirt and a diaper with Sesame Street designs) and the toddler had grew up into an adult, now wearing the clothing that Harrison had on. He was quite confused and tried to talk but all what came out was baby babbling. He couldn't believe what happened! The now adult, on the other hand, was amazed, quoting that they were "finally free" and was "stuck for days".
The now baby talking dog tried crawling after them, hoping they would help him change back to normal, but the adult walked away wishing the dog luck and hopes that he "enjoys his new diapers". Harrison was confused, he had an opportunity, a wonderful oppotunity! How would he tell the officials about what happened? With some more strange luck, he spotted one of those officials he was approached by, walking through the park. Hoping that they would notice him, he crawled towards them, but instead, the official just picked him up, cooed at him and wondered why he was all alone out here. This caused Harrison to be extra more confused that they didn't recognized him. The official took him to his car, into a baby car seat and driving the now regressed baby towards the daycare center.
During the drive down there, Harrison took a long thought about what happened and figured that it had to do with the baby rattle regressing him and progressing the other person, not only that, the official didn't remember him so he speculated that the rattle must have caused a new reality. That's when his heart felt like it sunk to the bottom of his stomach cause it meant he was a baby again, meaning he would have to go through diaper changes and growing up unless he could find someone who's willing to shake the magical rattle. That leaves a question, how is he going to do that?
Soon enough, the official arrived at the daycare center, carrying Harrison in and putting him down as a lost child. The daycare owners were happy to look after him until they could find his parents or anyone relating to him. After he was checked in, one of the owners carried him inside of the colourful play area, where there were other babies and toddlers playing together and having fun with their games and imagination. But for poor baby Harrison, he would be placed inside of a baby bouncer, coincidentally enough, with a Sesame Street style to it, just like his current outfit. As he bounced about, he couldn't help but blush. He felt so embarrassed being a baby again; being in the current predicament that he is in and no one, other than him and the person that progressed up, being aware of the massive change to reality.
All what the poor black and white dog can think is that, how is he going to get out of this situation?"
Here is something I've had in mind since eariler this year that I'm ready to talk about.
I love age regression, I find it to be a very interesting idea and I love reading stories about someone being in a predicament where they have to try and find a way to grow back up or the characters who still remained their age, have to look after those who was turn back into a baby, toddler or kid. Originally, inspired by a YCH about a spy being caught and age regressing down by the villian, I had this idea for this old OC of mine of being a spy, age regressed down and now have to use his current baby form to save the world from the villian and to return back to his normal age. Unfornately, that idea never really took off for me, but I still wanted to do something with Harrison and that's when I saw this Age Swap YCH by Dari-dario.
I loved the YCH idea there, where shaking the baby rattle from another owner caused not only an age swap, but a reality change. I also love it when reality changes in storyline. So that's when that inspired me with this new idea for Harrison. However, I kept the idea to my head because I've been focusing on my imagination Retcon World I have and I didn't really have enough money to commission those to draw some ideas I have in mind. So I kept this privately in my head.
Recently I came across this Baby Bouncer YCH by medley. It looked super cute! I figured to get a YCH featuring Harrison because of that and... I love how this came out. It looked absolutely perfect to me and just what I've imagined! medley has done a terrific job with this and I love it so much! I hugely recommend you commissioning them in the future, they deserve it!
Anyways, I hope you liked the description I've written for this piece. Huge major thank you again to medley for drawing this! You've done an absolute perfect job with this!
