NitricAcid ran a set of commissions on a 'noir' theme recently, where the picture would be in black and white with just a single bit of colour. So, who else would I pick for a noir theme than Mercedes, who deliberately affects a noir style anyway?
Definitely like the somewhat iconic look of this one, it would make a good book cover.

Definitely a more abstract take; as I said, it would work well as a book cover with the non-specific background.
The artist actually mentioned thinking of Call of Cthulhu-style investigators while drawing it. Though I suspect Mercedes wouldn't like that comparison, especially since she's the non-human one already...
