well its not really doomsday. Its the date the mayan calendar like resets to a new age based on an astronomical event (the sun's lining up with the galatic center) that happens every 23,000 years. But considering he's holding DNA, methinks he's gonna mess up our DNA! eek! and then take off to another world!! or maybe he's an intergalatic slut like riker or kirk and he comes to earth to hump us and therefore we have genes from the stars! (see syphilis on wikipedia - it did come from contact with the aztecs btw)
Nope, an ancient Mesoamerican god.
I first heard of it from the awesome 80s anime series Mysterious Cities of Gold:

Looking at the past and the majority of this "world will end" dates in pretty much of the last centuries, I guess, we will never be entirely free of those "the world will end" theories in the future. When one date progresses into the past, another, new one, will enter the mind of those people, who like to believe in that kind of stuff. So past 2012 will be like before 2012, the best thing is to ignore the bullshit, some people came up with, because there will be no end for that.
This picture is actually absolutely on topic, since it depicts an aztec god while refering to the date, the mesoamerican long count calender ends one age and starts another one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesoam.....Count_calendar
That is mainly the reason for superstitious people to believe in some kind of end of the world. It's a similar superstition like that of those people who believed, the world would had to end on 12.31.1999, 11:59:59 PM. While a "new age" is mainly just a mathematical matter, people, who believe in stuff like numberology and the likes, will always interprete a kind of event into certain numbers. Luckily the universe is pretty much unimpressed by our calculation skills and doesn't care for numberological shifts in our way to measure time, so nothing supernatural will happen. As usual.

Venus, actually; if the precolumbians are to be believed. The Maya call him Kukulcan.

Exactly deer friend, this silly guy dont know nothing about mesoamerican cultures, before to do something, first we must investigate, is like a guy in DA, he draws sexy characters of disney, he draws Cuzco... with the calendar aztec in a collar? he is an incan. XDDD
Is the same situation, same stupid thing I guess. XDDD

I've played "Age Of Empires" (very good game!). He was a god of the south american indians. Since the game has been historically quite accurate, they believe he tried to tell them the Spanish raiders were coming.
If such a pretty boy would stand in front of me, I'd worship him as well :)

Still not mexican, cause at that time of era "mexico/mexicans" did not exist. Thats like saying dinosaurs are just american if derived from america. You idiot. He is Aztecian sulked history. Know your history before you make a fool of yourself. But if you are a fool then reply to post.
-.- so you didn't noticed that I replyed to the first post saying I'm Mexican because it's natural that in my country you learn it's history??? well, then I think that you know more about this than one born here and who actually takes mexican history classes, that's fine i guess.
you can reply to this if you want, i don't care anymore.
btw there aren't many dinosaurs fossils in the US or America If you call it that way

How about you do the same and watch what you say? Fact is, hispanic people are related to the ancient aztec and mayans, so he is in the right when he says in a sense. Watch what you say before you judge someone for giving a simple statement, furthermore are you seriously going to be mindless enough to make fun of someone for being 16 and possibly a virgin? Wow you sure are more mature, nice one. Cute the bs and enjoy the art.
oh lol, i had forgotten about this xD
it's strange that just at the next day my history teacher remembered us that "aztecians"(?) and "mexicas" were the same thing, and since their city was called "Mexico-Tenotchtitlán" there's the prove that the term is right xD
lame i couldn't tell him, he blocked me ;¬¬
thanks for the support I think =J

However, Zen (Continue with my coment) I´m soo sorry but in this time I feel you made a wrong picture, you are confusing the aztecs with mayans, and mesoamerican cultures with egiptian, please before to do something about 2012, make sure of investigate enough for do a picture, and more with this kind of themes, because aztecs, egiptians, israelis, genetic stories with reptilian ideas is... really stupid indeed, it doesn´t has a real logic.
