When you got this adorable little kobold running around, Shasta feels an overwhelming motherly instinct to protect and love it. And so, every night she grabs the little cutie and brings him away to use her as a bed, which is something she is quite good at! With her cushy tummy, wing blankets, and innate warmth from her inner fire.
This scene is specifically inspired by the Dungeons & Dragons game I'm playing with friends, where I'm playing as Shasta! The kobold here is a little bard named Marley, who is just plain adorable, and who Shasta has fallen in love with protecting! You can even see his little hat off to the side!!

Also I just love the size difference between these two, which is actually accurate to the game! Just imagine these two fighting alongside each other! . . . Or more often it's Shasta rushing to stand between Marley and the baddies, because she would never want any harm to come to him!
