The sisters of the silent forest, the quiet lamentation, spirits born of the last breath from the forest of silence, summoned as forces of nature to guide souls through the corrupted forest and help ward off intruders for their own protection. They are docile, and do not enjoy conflict but wont hesitate to defend themselves from adventurers.
Long ago the forest of silence was the site of a great battle, the dead littered the earth, and the trees became tainted by the taste of hate and bloodshed. Much of the wood was corrupted and was warped by the grief of the fallen causing it to grow evil and spiteful of the living. The sisters act as wardens to keep intruders away, and keep the evil that lurks inside at bay, and prevent it from growing stronger and lashing out at the neighboring lands.
Nomadic by nature they live in isolation, only occasionally meeting with one another. when a threat is great enough they will form a lodge and work together to solve whatever issue may be at hand.
"If not for the monsters those devils would escape those woods and consume everything we have, so steer clear of them ya hear? treat them with respect, treat the forest with respect. Smell the flowers, compliment the trees on how beautiful they are, leave offerings of seeds and fruits, nuts and herbs. Hell if you have a decent singing voice sing for the trees, they love a good melody. But never venture past the ribbons and the offerings.
