Dakota, My Big Handsome Boy
And this is Dakota, my big strong boy. He was up and about, just looking around and eating hay, drinking water and enjoying his salt lick. Eventually, he lifted his head long enough for me to get a shot of his beautiful face.

Your on a site that constantly shows antropomophic creatures with half, if not more, being porn. The idea of anthropomophic creatures is that they're the result of humans crossbreeding with animals. A person getting aroused by a real horse's balls is the least of your problems...
See to me, I even feel old as hell with Disney. Because, like, all the quaint old stuff I loved in Disneyland is slowly being taken out and replaced with garbage tailored for the tweeny Miley Cyrus wannabe, sparkly, colorful clothing ad stuff. I understand things change but seriously, I mean...anyone out there seen Innovention (or whatever?)??? Horrible, and the ticket price is now like $70.
Ohhh, he's one of the clydesdales! No wonder he's so impressive!
I love them. They used to tour, and I'd make sure to go visit 'em whenever they were in town. We have a Bud plant here, and it used to have a Busch Gardens, but they closed it down a couple of decades ago (jerks!). I wish it were still open; I don't even remember it (my sis does, tho').
But still, what a beautiful shot <3 I wish he were mine, too =)

Yeah, years ago =) I vaguely remember something about a parrot. I've seen photos of the place here in Van Nuys (Los Angeleezzzz).
Anyway, if I ever get tons of money, I'll get some clydesdale and let you keep a nice pretty stallion for yourself, lol
Make sure you hold me to that! *has like $20 in his checking acct*

He does have an adorably cute nose Oh, the salt lick? Horses and other animals have to use it to get the salt their bodies need. I think we tend to get it from the meat we eat as well as directly from the salt we add to assorted foods, but horses and a lot of other herbivores in captivity often need to get it in the way of a salt lick
LOL! No, there's a reason for all the madness When I had gerbils, I had to get them salt licks, too For example, when my female gerbil was breeding, if she didn't get enough salt from her diet, she would eat her babies Not all of them, just one or two to replenish the salt her body needed. I couldn't figure out why this was happening for a while, but when I went back to the pet shop and asked, they explained to me what was happening and how to correct it.
Yeah, almost any animal, if you offer them salt, they'll eat it. It's just a very rare, essential nutrient that everything needs in order to function properly. The problem is that since it's so crazy rare, it's also kinda crazy addicting, and so we have a lot of folk walking around with hypertension. Especially in the U.S., with McD's and Pizza Hut and Olive Garden and Denny's and all that—heck, even our ostensibly healthy, "Lite" frozen foods like the Weight Watchers Smart Ones are packed with salt! If you check the nutritional information on the packaging, it's usually some enormous percentage of the allowed amount recommended by the FDA.
Since the picture doesn't really show scale I'd guess by the size of his legs and hooves that he's quite huge to see in person. We have a Percheron, a breed similar in size to Clydesdale, and you just can't tell by pictures how big she is until you see her standing right in front of you. You're totally right about horses embodying beauty, and this handsome guy most definitely does. Great picture, Kitty!
Thank you, Darling! And yeah, you're right. You can't really grasp the full scale of how big he is from this picture, but he is a really big boy. I'll have to dig through my photos and see if I can find a pic of any of the horses standing near a person. And yes, they are such beautiful animals! I just love 'em!
