Capital ships are basically mobile extra-planetary cities, and fill several important services in interstellar business: mass transportation of passengers and cargo to neighboring stars, in-orbit ship-scrapping and construction, short term meteorite mining operations, long-term exploration, terraforming and colonization. Much like their next size down, freighters, a capital ship is not meant to land on a planet; if one does land on a planet, it either takes months to repair for launch, or it was meant to be used as a base for a new colony. The Prospect is a whale-class capital ship, primarily used for scrapping remnant ships for usable components and materials, and carrying large numbers of shuttles.
Going back to that traditional comic cover design, I think I like the new story title I created! Bright colors, right at the top; all it needs is a little 10 cents icon at the top right! Anyway this marks the title page of the second chapter. I was going to go to 25 pages, but from the amount of story I had left before the "completion" of the chapter, I would have had to crunch way too much into the pages. It's just much easier to start from page one of the next chapter.
Anyway, I'm getting better at nebulae I think! Repetition makes the job easier.
