Contrary to Legacy belief, the infamous "Black Tabs" are composed of both FVF vulpines and Vulpo-Jerodians fighting for the FVR. The Black Tab unit is not recognized by any FVF official. They take orders strictly from the leadership in the FVR and answer to no FVF officer unless told so.

Being descended from Jerodians who came to Vulpinia prior, they know the vastly complicated tunnel systems that run through the mountains of Vulpinia which decades before, were used by Jerodians during the Scourge to supply and transport hostile troops to wreak havoc on the Monarchy. The Black tabs specialize in guerilla warfare, tunnel warfare, and psychological warfare and play a vital role in the FVF.
