Manbasa is the first of Badriyah's pups born into the newely founded Komboli Mob. She was the exact of how her mother had been in her youth: while Badriyah was rebellious and often challenged her mother's authority, Manbasa always followed the rules and was very responsible, and expected her youner siblings to do the same. When her mother Badriyah starts to become slow due to her advancing age, Manbasa bests her in a mashindano and becomes the new leader of the group.
As a dominant female, Manbasa is pretty bossy and doesn't tolerate laziness of any kind. She makes sure that her siblings do their part in contributing to the mob from gathering food and properly maintaining the burrows or else they would get an earful from her. A lot of the other meerkats in the mob couldn't stand her at times, but they still put up with her anyway because they did genuinely care about her. Manbasa never ended up finding a mate of her own, but she did end up having one litter of sons that were sired by a passing roving male.
Manbasa's reign came to an end when she was killed and eaten by a hungry jackal. Having left behind no daughters to succeed her, her younger sister Madini becomes the new leader of the Komboli.
Manbasa is based off of the version of Timon's mom who appears in the T&P episode "Mombasa-In-Law". I decided to incorporate her into my TLK universe as Timon's aunt.
