Madini is born in the Komboli Mob to Badriyah and Buzwe, the group's dominant couple and two of its founders. In her early years, she was a frequent pupsitter in the group and was well liked among her younger siblings due to her devotive and supportive nature. After her older sister Manbasa ended up being predated by a jackal, Madini becomes the new leader of the group.
After becoming the new dominant female, Madini ends up meeting Berko, a very confident and charismatic roving male from another mob. The two of them would go on to have several litters together and Berko co-ruled the mob by Madini's side until he was sadly killed by a hawk when their youngest pup Timon was still a baby. Madini was devastated by his passing, and she probably wouldn't have kept on living if she didn't have Timon to care for. He reminded her so much of Berko and she had to stay strong not only for him, but for the entire Komboli Mob.
Madini cares very deeply for Timon and is the only meerkat who is willing to stick up for him when he messes up. When Timon struggled to fit in with the rest of the Komboli, she yearned for him to find his place and be happy. But when he told her that his place was not with the Komboli, she reluctantly allows him to leave in the hopes that he would find a better home. Some time after Timon leaves, her oldest daughter Tesma bests her in a mashindano and becomes the new dominant female, which meant that Madini now had to leave the Komboli for good. Her aging uncle Maksim chooses to follow her into exile just so she wouldn't be alone.
Madini's wandering eventually leads her and Maxsim to find Timon, who was now living at a place called Pride Rock with a warthog and a pride of lions. The mother and son catch up on old times, and it turns out that Timon had done quite a lot in his time away from the Komboli. He befriended an outcast warthog, saved a dominant meerkat from the Kunu from being eaten by a snake and, more recently, helped a runaway lion prince overthrow a tyrant king. Madani was very proud of her son and was happy that he had finally found a place when he belonged, and after telling him that she was ousted from the Komboli by one of his sisters, Timon leads her and Maksim to a jungle oasis where he had previously lived with his two friends. It had plenty of food and was safe from predators, making it a perfect retirement home for a former dominant female.
Madini and Maksim spend the rest of their days living peacefully in the oasis, occasionally receiving visits from Timon and his new found family.
And here's Ma! I came up with a slightly different story for her as I don't consider TLK 1 1/2 to be completely canon. I like to think that what we see with Timon's mob in the first third of the film is canon, and the rest of the film's plot was just a story that Timon made up for Simba's kids. =P
