Aplomado falcon, referenced by a photo randomly torn out of a 5-year-old Natural History magazine being thrown away by the local library.
Oil paint, denim, roughly 10 inches tall on the outside of the left leg.
Faded during wash, so no longer as vibrant. I had to touch up the blacks with sharpie. The drybrush detail just disappeared. The beak and other heavily painted, pale colored areas have cracks (but that, at least, I expected). I am sad. *I* can tell.
