Garrick at best is seen as a loveable asshole (his words) at worse a jerk. He likes hanging out, having fun, drinking, goofing off, and sex LOTS of sex. When he was young, his parents, particularly his father, had high aspirations for his children. There was a lot of stern raising and often being pushed into higher class education. While he did manage to get to play and relax, it was mostly how to make connections, act, make others perceive what you want them to, who to talk to, and who not to. He hated every bit of it. One of the friends he has due to their families being close for years was the Knight Twins. Jett he liked and could have fun with, Jarod he thought was a stick in the mud. Still, having someone he could relate to in the darker Knight helped ease the burden of the requirements his father made of him. After several years he learned that his father had planned to enroll him into the military. That was it, he had put up with everything else and his father was seen perfectly accepting of dictating his life. But instead of confronting his father, he runs away and hops aboard a ship to the US to escape. It was there that he found his freedom. He was able to relax, do what he wanted and let go of all the nonsense his father shoved onto him over the years. It was also the time he met several close friends and eventual housemates.

Note: People are likely going to see a very strong resemblance to Fenris that belongs to  Crocdragon That is because Garrick is a recycling of an old design of Fenris as he was part of the story. So with Crocs permission, (He wouldn't have designed and drawn the commission if he objected), we took the old design and personality of Fenris back in his AU Croc days and his redesign in 2009 to repurpose him into a new character.
