Ever since my...change had happened, I've had nothing but time to think. My body no longer ages; my senses have been altered forever.

I taste flavors when I eat, even though I no longer have to, and I feel every grain, every nutrient, every chemical. I can savor the flavors for hours, should I choose. My eyesight has tripled, and now I see at an angle of three hundred and sixty degrees; I can see every crack in the bark of the tree I sit on, every droplet of dew evaporating on every blade of grass, every bubble foaming in the pond I sit next to. I can even look up at the sun and see every last ray without risk of damaging my eyes.

I hear the sounds of summer all around me, from the birds, to the insects, to the summer breeze blowing above my head. My ears no longer twitch to every noise; they no longer need to.

I can feel the fabric of my clothes hugging my form, brushing my form. I can feel the wind twiddle my whiskers as it brushes by. I can feel the warmth of the sun bathing my body like a blanket.

My body has changed. Maybe even for the better.
