Lo and behold, another Heather has created a vision of Rooth!
Here we have the work of the honorable and perhaps ineffable  hbruton!
This was done at RMFC 2010, where she was a Guest of Honor this year.

I've had an original of hers hanging on my wall since GenCon 2000 (and some of my art gets rotated around, so that it's been up there all this while is saying something!), so I was pleased as punch to have the chance at last to get a piece from her (though there's a tickle in the back of my brain that says, "hey, dumbass, you got a sketch from her back in 2004 or something!").
I love the figure here, and the construction (almost a figure 8) is awesome. Her marker work is very smooth, I could learn a lot just by studying this. :) Note the soft glow all around the outline -- really helps a white subject pop off the page, and pretty easy to do. Happy dragon!
