After Roderick left the criminal world behind him, he found himself with a new human wife, a lot of money earned from crime, and a skill set that didn't align with those of the normal world. Still, he managed to turn a fun hobby into a career.

Roderick took up cooking when he was very young. Going out to eat in NYC for enough food to feed a 7'6", 500 pound crocodile was expensive. He got around that by preparing most meals at home. After decades, he became very skilled, particularly in baking. With encouragement from his wife Allison, he opened a bakery in Midtown Manhattan. It was an overnight success, and quickly became a highly profitable business. Saurian Fine Baked Goods was a hit in the city, and an icon in the neighborhood.
