Hyginitech traces its origins back into the garage of two engineering students in Paris, 1997. Having to work part time as hospital orderlies in Paris to pay off their student loans, the two routinely held conversations over the inefficiency they faced every day, ranging from the hassle of sorting cleaning agents to the care of the patients. Obsessed with their ideas, the engineering duo drafted hundreds of blueprints for hygiene assistance appliances and fixtures, however they lacked funding to produce a prototype. After their successful graduation in 2002, the two approached Abluforte Industries to assist with bringing their blueprints to life and in 2004 produced a fully functional automated shower stall that quickly saw use in hospitals and care homes across France.

The pair would continue to partner with Abluforte Industries, commissioning the company with profits gained from the successful sale of previous products to produce new ones. In 2006, Hyginitech was officially founded in Paris as a provider of automated personal hygiene appliances, in addition to being one of the few external retailers distributing official Abluforte Industries products.
