Caden suffered from severe chronic insomnia. While regular medication did help alleviate some of the issue, he still tended to suffer from not being able to get a constant good rest, and being someone who was easily stressed over situations didn’t help matters at all. It had reached a point where it affected his general health, leading to a constant strain of issues that left him ultimately feeling miserable in life and wishing for any way to deal with the problem.

As fate would have it, his strong desires had attracted a fairy who offered to grant his wish, in return for becoming a magical warrior. Caden, partially thinking that he was having a delusion, agreed to the deal. Caden promptly found himself transformed, his body de-aged and turned into what was obviously a baby magical girl.

He had become the infant magical girl Dreaming Princess Sweet Pea. While initially disturbed and weirded out by the whole change, Caden couldn’t help but be overcome by a wave of relaxation, causing her to feel at peace, with sleep coming to her rather quickly.

Like how in the story of The Princess and the Pea, the princess was only able to sleep after the pea was removed from under the mattresses, Caden’s insomnia and stressful nature symbolized the metaphorical pea that prevented him from getting sleep. Once these were removed, sleep came easily.

Caden, in her new form, had no trouble relaxing and sleeping. In fact, she was now so relaxed that she always appeared to be asleep even when she was awake. Possessing minor psychic abilities, she was able to float around in the air, and some telekinetic power allowed her to move and manipulate some things around her.

As ‘Dreaming Princess Sweet Pea’, Caden’s powers consisted of sleep and dream based abilities.
