It was a brutal day as the Emriling walked across the dirt. At first, the walk had been nothing more than a simple stroll through the outside world, the boy completely unaware of the tiny bugs that crunched under his boot treads with every step. Eventually, he would look down and spot the tiny shapes that fled from his falling feet. Would he spare them the pain and humiliation of being ground into the dirt under his boots?
Of course not, they were only bugs, after all~
