It's Cris again, and he's had a big day up on the slopes. Braggin' to a friend in the Chalet about it non-stop :)

You have my sympathies, AstroQ. Nothing, not even wakeboarding/waterskiing can cure the summertime blues, eh? Plus being pulled around on a loud, smelly boat isn't as much fun as yourself, a slope and gravity.
I've heard of an event called "Furry Ski Weekend" but it's in Colorado I think (have to look it up again). That would pretty much rock to have a ski/furmeet at the same time!

Do you dwell near the Rockies? All the way from Alaska down to Mexico are some choice places. A small resort near me just got re-opened this year by some rich New Zealander and he's putting $$$$$ in for improvements. So lucky am I! Otherwise, it's all back-country here *hike hike hike hike*
Northern Montana, but further out east. You are lucky to live near Tahoe! I heard it was a dope year for snow in the Sierras. We had some late snows, too, all the way up to June! I was still snowboarding around here in May. I need to get to Big Mountain, Showdown and Whitefish in my state. The closest is Teton Pass, where the New Zealand dude is reopening it with style (I hope).
Yeah, the East has cold, icey and wet snows I hear. The Rockies get heavy dry powder, tee-hee! But I prefer Spring because of the warmer, longer days and looking out in the lush green valleys while ripping the slushee slopes is paradise. *sigh*

Awesome, Montana! I would so love to get up there at some point - the backpacking around there looks absolutely breathtaking!
And yeah, the snow on the East coast is something terrible. It's a sad state of affairs when the best conditions you can hope for is corn. But hey, you take what you can get! Anyhow. We'll have to hit the slopes together some time :D

Rad! Twould be fun. Ha, corn...that's all you get with night skiing anywhere...good conditions during the day, then the snow freezes up into pellets. It's like riding on bean bag filling.
