Check your setting when you are scanning it. I generally do everything manually, so there is always room to negotiate.

Here are a couple of other things you might want to try

1. See if it the paper or other materials, some types will not come up as well.

2. Try fixing it up in a photo shop program, it might just need a bit of tweaking. I sometimes have to do that with photos.

3. You may need to reinstall your scanner software

4. Check for Gremlins

I hope that helps, but if it is 4 well good luck and remember no food after midnight, keep them away from water and they definitely hate sunlight
