After an initially scary meeting, Kauntry realized that Milo was in much the same predicament, and the two quickly became friends. Since it was hard to keep up on mouse legs, Milo took to letting Kauntry ride on his head. The reality of their lost humanity is still tough to bear, but having a friend who understands certainly eases that pain, and can provide a valuable distraction when needed.
