Yup the nerdy Liger's come up with yet another new alien species. Boys and girls meet Hish the Shadowkin. His species are native to a large moon in orbit around a gas giant. Due to it's orbit the planet is shrouded in darkness through most of the time. However there are a few times through out the year where the planet does get daylight. The Shadowkin evolved on his world as a Nocturnal species as most on the planet are. In their prehistory they primarily inhabited caves or built their own structures within mountains or cliff faces. They still tend to reside in these areas all be it with a more modern level of technology. Shadowkin are fairly out going. Their culture based on trade and exchange. They are quite good negotiators. Their spoken language sounds like quite whispers. Though they are Telepathic among each other so when among themselves they use this form of communication. However they are only empathic in regards to other species. Shadowkin have a primal fear of bright light. Being out and about in the daylight makes them exceedingly uncomfortable. During the Day periods on their worlds large predators swarm the land. To be out in the day periods is to be in grave danger. This instinct is still quite strong with them. Though they have managed to adapt a bit. Shadowkin clothes tend to always include a hood to keep most light out and not too much skin is shown. Due to their lack of light exposure they are susceptible to sunburn more easily then most. Shadowkin however do have an ability to manipulate and darkness. They can create fields which douse and neutralize light The visual effect is seen here with Hish drawing in the light particles as his shodows neutralize them. This ability's strength varies from each person. Most can only draw out light from sources they are close to or create a small shadow field around their own bodies to reduce their anxiety about the light and to protect their sensitive eyes. Some however can use this power at a great distance an even harness the light particles they draw in and focus them using them like a laser against foes. However that level of power is rare.

Hish here is a young Shadowkin. He's of average intelligence for his species in most areas. He has a flair for machinery though and is a good barterer. He wants to get out and see the galaxy. He likes to trade. He hopes to have a ship of his own someday to travel the galaxy with. Perhaps wiht some friends. This may be a lil ways off for him still though. But in the meantime his abilities are coming along nicely. He'll make a fine trader and traveler someday.
