8 ABY, The moon of Dxun over Onderon, Mandalore Sector.

After the crushing defeat of the Empire over the forest moon of Endor, and eager to flex its military might, the New Republic set its sights on the moon of Dxun. Believed to only house a small clan of Mandalorians, Operation Cleansing Blade was put into effect. Admirals Hogart Go'loit, and General Thrack Faren of the New Republic devised their plan to invade the world and defeat the Mandalorians of Clan Cadera.

Instead, what happened became a months long slog, with little ground gained and thousands of New Republic soldiers dead. The Mandalorians had set up defenses with Missile Platforms, Turbo laser towers, and Canderous Class Assault Tanks. Mandalorian troopers used the dense jungles and foliage of Dxun to their advantage. Strikes on the Landing sites were brutally effective, and dozens of T4B, and T2B tanks were lost in the first week alone.

Finally, after two months of blood, sweat, and death, the New Republic left. Tail between their legs, the General and Admiral were dismissed from their positioned by the New Republic. A Truce was signed with Clan Cadera, as the Republic civilian populous was already very unhappy with the short lived conflict.

Happy to have flexed their own muscles, Clan Cadera used the salvage, and the healthy sum of credits from the truce to continue bolstering their forces. It was estimated they were able to get a brand new Keldabe Class Battleship from the fighting.
