The washing machines where I work have a lockout device that keeps people from putting money into them until the door is closed and latched (because mopping up 25 gallons of water at a time sucks), the instructions on the face of EACH machine indicate depositing money to be the LAST step. If you can't guess what the most common blunder is at this point, allow me to direct you back to elementary school.
