Shield bash good, shield charge better. When I want to bash the enemy down but they're just too far away, charging headfirst into the fray with shield raised is a damn good way to do it. Protecting me from projectiles, forcing aside magical attacks, bowling over weaker foes, and being damn terrifying for any opponent to see, the shield charge makes combat fun! The downside is that it requires total commitment and is difficult to stop mid-charge, so I have to be absolutely certain of what I'm doing before I start. Or just not worry about it and use the move out of desperation. Hey, it works. Sometimes.
