Just Another Day… I Guess
For a moment, He thought things were quiet. Scrap didn’t wake up and my ears weren’t ringing. The journal wasn’t vibrating or illuminated that strange blue glow this morning. Scrap, knowing that he didn’t have to work either at the library or at the vineyard. It seemed like the universe decided to give him a break! So how he chose to spend his day. Going to the park first of all. It’s been a long time since he had some time just for himself.
But he spoke too soon. The moment he took a seat on the bench, that was on top of the hill. He saw what was really going on. The sky was broken. It’s like something punched a hole in the sky and out tentacle monster slipped it’s tentacle out. More holes appeared, though there was nothing in there. Actually to describe it… It was like he was watching static. Who knows what that’s all about.
“What the?” He said as he looked further out. Sections of the town started to fly up like floating island he reads about in those science-fiction stories he reads. He counted at least five islands. God he hoped that the people were alright…
He sighed and muttered under his breathe. “3...2...1…” Suddenly emergency alarms started to ring. Police sirens soared through the streets. There were some screams from some townsfolk. He cringed and backed up a bit from his seat.
He sighed and slapped his face. “Of course… it’s never this easy.” He lowered his head and took a big breathe in. He looked over to the side and noticed his journal was right by his side. The pages were flapping and ripping themselves from the book. They flew off into the distance, Probably forming the next problem he had to deal with today.
“Just another day… I guess.” He ended and got off his seat.
