The delta class battleships where created in 1982 for the Mersorkan Mariner to replace the old Texican class .

the Delta class (named after Admiral docrassio [nickname Delta]) was designed for the replacement of the old texican class battleships , the development started in 1979 , the first ship of the class was the MMS (Mersorkan Military Ship) Princess independence (M-70) and it served as a test for the future ships.
on 1983 the 10 planned units where made and put into service of the MM , on 1989 their cannons where upgraded to be able to shoot a new type of ammo: ramjet ammo , that extended the guns range for over 200km , this modification brought the interest of The republic of coastland who ordered 2 units that where finished on 1990.

-participation on the Kutziwalt war:
the ships where deployed to guard mersorkan sea borders , the first ship sunk on that war was sunk by the MMS Princess constitution (M-71) , no delta class battleship was sunk during the war , aprox 22,6% of the kutziwalt ships sunk where by delta class battleships

-after the war:
after the war 9 ships where modernized into the G1 modification while 1 was modified into the G2 modification (system upgrades) , on 2002 the ships where part of a joint forces operation betwen Merso , coastland , karmiruh , UIR and Sealand. on 2018 the ships where modernized into the G3 modification and one 2019 the M-70 princess independence was decommisioned and put as a museum ship on the city of markan while other ships are planned to be used up to 2030.
