This is a picture of me and a patrol sentry companion "Luger". Half German Shepard- Half Rotwieller when I was in the Army back in 1996. I used to do airborn insertions with him for a while. Here we are at the National Training Center at Fort Eriwin we were doing practice drop for an upcoming mission. This picture was featured in the Army TImes for a week, this was taken about a second before my chute opened, you can barely see it about to appear at the top. Yes Luger is wearing an oxygen mask as well! Ahh, the good old days!

WAIT WHAT--:D You jumped with a dog?? 8D Poor Luger, what he must have been thinking at the time, that's all I can think of! He must have some mega-trust in you to do that! :D He even has his own oxygen mask too awwwww. XD Is there any other pic with Luger jumping? this is incredible, I've nevear heard of this before, parachuting with dogs strapped to your chest |3
At the time of this photo Luger has had nearly 2 years of training to do this sort of mission. This was his 20th or so jump so it was nothing new to him. The military has done tandem airborn missions with dogs since the Korean conflict, it has never been widely known with the public. No this is the only picture and it was rare to even have a picture like this done. Untill I pulled the realase line I didn't even know I was photographed.
