Was just messing around with some stuff i got at the crafts store tonight. I was sorely dissapointed to find out the 'stones' are some kind of dremel-resistant polymer >.>' So I was lame and painted on them instead. I'll lacquer them tomorrow. My first feather painting(Its a horse skull), sorry for the blur- idk how to setup camera for this stuff :3
Just something fun for me to wear with some of the spirit animals/totems which have guided me through my days :3 (The coyote image is blatantly ripped from foxfeather after I couldn't find a decent coyote glyph to use).

Bring the subject up sometime when you're at a meet? I think the answers might surprise you(Emphasis on might). People run the gambit from totally vapid and trying to have an opinion to having spent their lifetime dedicated to the subject and are chock full of interesting dialogue. ANYWAYS, yes i agree- nice to see someone else interested in totemism :)
We have a heavy native american culture up here in Minnesota. One of the wolves at the International Wolf Center was named Lakota and she was my adopted wolfie.
As for myself, I am partial to Akela the wolf spirit, and Kiri the Black Hyena. Strong connections with animals make for a good source for inner peace.

I'm studying Lakota right now. I'm very connected to their traditions and ceromonies. An elder is teaching me some of the ways, but he's old and his mind is not like it use to be.
I agree 100% with spirit animals and inner peace. My peace comes from the coyote. My sacred mountian. Even before they were read to me.
