*points to her own comment above* I hate armor. =P It's hard! This is one of my better attempts. *pathetic* I just can't get it to work right and it frustrates me enough that I dun wanna practice drawing it. Feh.

On the other hand, props for armor that's actually protective, and not just the metal bikinis that are the norm for womens' armor in fantasy. :)

Some pointers on the armour (look at me, giving the person with the art degree pointers c.c wow I'm ballsy..

1) While the way you did the breasts is feasible in armour, it is a fair bit harder from a practical standpoint to do. Usually in "common" armour for women, they just used a single "prow" shape to give room for the breasts.

2) Often times in armour, especially lower class western styles, instead of having the chain or plated leggings, they used a chain/plater/padded leather skirt, to provide better range of movement for the legs, as well as provider overall larger area of protection. Just suggesting this one because I figure even a chainmail skirt would be easier for you to draw than a setr of plated leggings.

Other than those two suggestions, it looks good.

1) I know. I wanted to show boobs anyway.

2) It's based on WoW screenshots a friend sent me. =P Easier to render skin tight scales/mesh than a skirt that would have to move with the character. It looks the way it does because that's the model I used.

This could be mean of me, but this is one of the reasons I love your art. ^.^ It's not perfect! It's great, but doesn't leave me staring at it with "I'll never be that good" written all over my face.

I intend to use this picture for reference the next time I get the bright idea to try drawing armor. The design may be a little flawed but it still looks like it should I think. =3

*chuckles* I make no claims on perfection. The day I stop learning and working to improve my skill is the day I fail at being an artist. All I know is I'm getting better as I keep practicing. Maybe one day I'll reach some nebulous goal that puts me in the "wow" category as an artist, but I'm in no hurry. ^_^

*chuckles* Thanks. I do hate it. =P This was one of the pieces next year's conchair asked me to do for his back page ad, and he wanted armor. I'm still not happy with it, but he loved it.
