A gummy, soft, fits-in-your-hand friend.
Feeds on algae, plankton, and soft sea grasses. Found in warmer coastal regions just beyond the tidal zone.
Can be kept in a tank as a pet provided its tank requirements are met. They can be sensitive to changes in the water acidity. Will dry out and die if taken out of water.
Its skin secretes a mucus that other animals don't like to taste. They come in an endless variety of colours and patterns, though horizontal striping and spotting are common. Its "ears" are able to detect movements in the water, allowing them to find food and avoid predators.
They like to hide in rocky corals during the day, and will come out at night to feed in sandy/seagrass areas.
