July kicked off the 4th anniversary of my Patreon featuring an extra poll to have two more characters added to my cast! As in past years, August is expected to have at least one additional poll as well. If you were thinking about supporting the $10 tier, now would be a great time. Don’t forget the doodle requests! Pick your favorite of my cast each month to give them some love. ^.^

August is expected to see the rollout of a new tier to my Patreon as well. This tier will allow people to have their doodle requests of my cast upgraded straight to a refined sketch rather than go through a poll, hoping it wins. This will be a bit of an experiment to see how I can handle the extra work load along with the logistics of managing it.

July saw two characters officially added to my cast with formal sheets: Clypse the Umbreon, my Pokesona, and Fifina the Furfrou macro French maid. Fifina has already made a substantial splash with people so look forward to seeing more of her!

And gosh dang, look at that activity teaser of posts made in the month; very top tier stuff with some being the best of the best I’ve done. @.@ I half feel like the backing off on my work load for the month slightly helped me create better products.

I am still working on cutting my work time down. I have been listening to tons of business and motivational videos and they all stress that the 60-70 hour work weeks I’ve been doing is not good. One even went as far to say that if you are working 60+ hours as a business owner (which I am of my freelance work) that is more a display of incompetence on how to run your business rather than something to be praised/proud of.

As for what work I am trying to cut, that would be the Patreon/posting administrative work. I am pretty dead set on not drawing less if I can help it, so don’t worry about seeing less content from me any time soon! The other thing I’m working on is to try and be more productive/efficient during my times when I do sit down to do art to try and be done in a more timely manner.

Last thing I am changing is that before I had soft rules that Wednesday and Saturdays were “day off” but with how I was always behind with things, I usually worked through those days anyway. Now I’m turning Saturday into a full workday but am setting a hard limit on Wednesday being a “day off”. I’m usually destroyed by the time I come home from 2nd block of Hellday (newspaper job [which is often 12-15 hours in a 24 hour period]) on Wednesday that I have nothing left in me to do much of anything.

This past week I tried out the hard limited Wednesday “day off” and I did feel amazingly better and uplifted by bedtime. Played some games such as Warframe and Pokemon Go and watched some videos. Having your 7th day be a day off was heavily stressed in the motivational videos I listened to and they are indeed right.

Let’s see what waits us in August. Definitely lots of content planned, including posting the 2nd “Big One” picture of the year. Look forward to that!
