Bazazi is your typical dominant male meerkat. He left his birth mob upon reaching adulthood in the hopes of finding a new one to join and eventually settled down with a cute female and had several children. And while he did love his new life in the Leza Mob with his new family, he always felt a little envious of their neighbors, the Udevu Mob. They had a much nicer patch of territory to themselves that was more abundant with food. Since the territory was already occupied, the only way the Leza could claim it for themselves was to drive out the occupants.
Determined to get what they wanted, Bazazi lead several attacks on the Udevu. The battles were often fierce, but the Udevu were tough and came out on top every time, successfully defending their home from the Leza. Karazana didn't always approve of the frequent attacks on their neighbors, but Bazazi assured her that he was doing this for their family, that he just wanted them to have a nice territory to live in. One day, Bazazi lead an attack on the Udevu's babysitting burrow, where they encountered a young male name Shaka. And while Shaka was vastly outnumbered and ended up being badly mauled in the attack, he still fought like mad, determined to protect his younger siblings in the burrow. Bazazi's raid on the babysitting burrow ended up being unsuccessful as the Udevu returned from the day's foraging trip and chased off the intruders. They had lost once again, but Bazazi swore that his family would someday have the Udevu's turf for themselves.
Bazazi never gets the chance to lead another raid again as not long after his fight with Shaka, he falls ill and dies.
EDIT: Changed his name because I forgot that there's already a canon character in The Lion Guard named Basi. ;^^
Another meerkat. Bazazi is of course intended to be Basil, or Big Si as he was called in Meerkat Manor. The two dots on his muzzle were inspired by this photo of him.
Bazazi's pose was partially reffed from this screenshot of Timon.
