Nikita is the dominant female of the Komandoo Mob, a group of meerkats that still followed the barbaric Old Ways of meerkat society. She gained her position when she, after getting pregnant from a passing rogue, killed her mother's two newborn pups and then chased her out of the group. Nikita felt no remorse over what she had done. Being a pregnant subordinant, she would've been a prime target for eviction. And since she was still weak from giving birth, it would've been all too easy to overthrow her mother. She had done it to giver her own unborn pups a better chance for survival.

After her pups are born, Nikita ends up meeting Hannibal, a roving male who had recently left the Mdogo mob. Much like her, he was a ruthless meerkat who wasn't afraid to get his paws dirty to get what he wanted, so it was no surprise that Nikita decided to take the one-eyed rover as her mate. The Komandoo Mob grew to be a good-sized and powerful meerkat mob under their leadership. As dominant female, Nikita made sure that she would be the only one to have litters, and any unlucky subordinate who got themselves pregnant would be either kicked out of the mob or have their litters killed an eaten. Nikita didn't care. To her, this was just a part of life in a mob.

The Komandoo posed a major threat to the other meerkat mobs in the area, with Hannibal and Nikita often leading the mob in raiding the burrows of their neighbors or engaging in fights with them if they were to cross paths while foraging. During one of their burrow raids, Nikita manages to kill a young pup in the Leza Mob, but during another raid on Udevu territory she ends up losing her son, Ozi. Seeking retribution for the death of one of their own, Hannibal and Nikita lead frequent attacks on the Udevu mob before they're forced to abandon their territory. The Komandoo live comfortably in their newly claimed turf until Hannibal suddenly dies in his sleep one cold winter night. Nikita was absolutely devastated by his passing, and she never sought out a new breeding partner or had any litters ever again. To her, no male would ever be able to match up to Hannibal.

A few months after her mate's death, Nikita ended up falling ill. Seeing an opportunity to seize power, her daughters Zora and Kelila attack her and chase her out of the mob. Nikita tries to rejoin the Komandoo, but she soon succumbs to her illness and dies.

Nikita was designed for me by KalahariMeerkatfan on DA. (Original image) She is of course intended to be Rhian, the meerkat who portrayed Nikita in seasons 2 and 3 of Meerkat Manor. I decided to borrow KMF's idea of Season 2-3 Nikita being the real Nikita, while Season 4 Nikita (who was portrayed by a different meerkat named Zorilla) be one of her daughters. I kinda wish they did that with Season 4 as it would've made much more sense with the whole "next generation" angle they where going with, but oh well.
