Awesome pic! Won't be long til your guy is that size, too... my burm hit 7 ft after a year, and 11 feet after two.

They're notorious from growing fast though. Retics grow fast at first but then slow way down as they start getting longer. ^^
Burms are awesome though. So fat and they just chill. XD

Heee! Well, my guy is tame to the point of soppy, but I haven't overfed him so he's still a healthy weight. Speaking of which, a trio of rats is coming his way tomorrow. Better get them defrosting now~

He's never even acted like he was going to strike. I know he's probably gonna bite me someday so I kinda hope it's while he's a baby. o.O

Presumably he still has a feeding response when the scent of rat is in the air, and stalking behaviour you can learn to read? I was defensive-bitten by my guy when he was 6 feet long, but wasn't a big deal. If you restrain the instinct to try and pull away and just wait... the snake'll let go again after 20 seconds or so. Lotta blood, and needle-marks from their teeth, but tiny wound and doesn't hurt.

Yeah, eventually. But there is still the possibility that he could just be a grumpy snerk one day and decide biting me is a good idea. XD I know it hurts like hell! I saw pics of this guy's hand when he got bitten by his tic and it was super bloody and bruised from the sheer strength of their jaws! It was crazy. XD
