When she was born, Petra was something of an outcast in her tribe. Her strange fur with no colour, her eyes red as blood... It wasn't a good sign. an ill omen compounded by the fact that shortly after she was born, her tribe's isolated valley stopped getting the rains it needed to stay self sufficient. With the mountians that surronded them, they couldn't leave. not easily. Hunting would be much harder. the lack of water being an issue to. But nothing they couldn't deal with. Still, Petra was given the blame.

Needless to say, Petra wasn't happy with her lot in life. As soon as she got to adulthood, she left in the middle of the night without a word to the rest of them. only her mother knew where she would be going. the only one who was nice to her. Still, she left. living off the land, like she was taught. She made it quite far. past the mountians, though not without a lot of close calls. Eventually, she came upon a mountian based monestary. The monks there took her in, since she was exhusted and allowed her to stay. With the unexpected kindness, she decided to stay on as an initiate. She could find something to do here. this felt... right. like she belonged.
