Quest 2: The Magician

"Tabitha is not coming with." the gargantuan huge Tabaxi proclaimed as she crossed her arms and looked away with a pouty face. Evan let out an exhausted sigh and asked "Tabitha what's the big deal, you love coming on adventures with us! It's just a short boat trip and then we're there at Kobold rock, don't you love kobolds? You keep raving about Lau-". Tabitha turned her head over her shoulder and squinted back at him, "Tabitha doesn't want to see other Lizards, Tabitha likes the purple one, And Tabitha can not STAND the big blue, Tabitha refuses to accompany the prince on silly adventure. Please excuse Tabitha." she said before taking off to her room. Noah started following her but took a moment to say "Evan I think it's best of Tabitha sits this one out, and I'll stay behind to look after her since you're taking Oatmeal with you... But hey! I'll pack you guys lunch and a few potions, you're strong, you can do this!". Noah followed Tabitha into her room, but ducked back out to give Evan a thumbs up.

Great, two of his best friends are not coming with him, a small blow to Evan's assurance. "Alright dude, check this OUT" a voice then boomed from behind him. He turned around and before him stood Oatmeal, geared up in clothes for ONCE. "Hahah what do you think huh, am I suited up or what!". "Uhh uhh uhh Oatmeal, you look GREAT, but like, I don't think a boob window is very protective... But you do seriously look gr-" Evan's flabbergasted, he was too distracted to notice the huge battlehammer she was resting on her shoulder, it's glowing orange hue was unmistakable! "Oatmeal, is that a Solanite hammer? Where did you GET that??". Oatmeal looked at him puzzled, then she perked up, "Oh THIS? Haha you won't believe this, when, like, I was out robbing graves for bones two weeks ago I found this huge orange rock just sitting there, any time I pushed it it would push back twice as hard so I strapped it to a handle, it looks SICK right?"
Evan squinted at the Imp's weapon, "Here lies George, taken from us on... Oatmeal this is someone's headstone, this is kinda grim don't you think? But... most likely it belonged to someone rich if it's made of pure solanite... it's fine, it's fine. But girl, just watch where you swing that thing, I wouldn't want to be sent into another country by accident because you were reckless." Oatmeal blinked at him for a few moments before the biggest grin grew on her face. "IT CAN DO THAT?? WOW THATS LIKE SO COOL"

After calming Oatmeal down and getting a hefty lunch box from their friend Noah they all gave each other a hug and set off on their adventure, to the port!

And the gang is on their way! Well, half of them at least. It'll be a cake-walk, it's just a retrieval quest! What could possibly go wrong?

And for a writers note: Solanite is a metal unique to my setting, it is a reactive metal that pushes back any force forced upon it with twice the output. Meaning if you hit people with it it would hit twice as hard, with explosive effect!
