Oli in that third panel is scary as hekk o.=.o; Also HAH! thought it was odd how swiftly Oli managed to dodge the giant bug like that, Oli got some trainin. Maybe they should put it to use to 'educate' some of the Drekir a little.
Love how you touched back on the mental impact this would all have on a person, it's keeping the story feeling real and enjoyable.

PS, can we have a scene where Oli does something that just blow's the Drekir mind, be it solving a long issue they have or just a simple remark on how to make or gather a resource hehe. It cute seeing them Drekir looking shock :3

A scene like that is unlikely happen in the future, considering how unfamiliar Oli is with the dramatically different world, lifestyles, technology, magic and ideas of the dragons around them it doesn't seem that Oli would have the right mindset to really tell them how to live in the world that they have been living in far longer than oli

I not saying anything like that, I was more imagining Oli overhearing or seeing the Drekir struggling with something and them making a offhanded comment of why they don't do 'this' to fix the issue or demonstrating a skill that just leaves the Drekir baffled. I mean Oli is an 'educated' individual and apparently partly trained (first aid comes to mind) so they would have knowledge and some wisdom Drekir would lack in there survival mindset...
Sorry I not trying to press, we get to see a lot of Oli 'reacting' to this crazy world and most of the interaction is Oli being shocked by things, it'd be an interesting scene to breakup this reoccurring theme. ^.-.^;
Either way I'm looking forward to seeing more of the comic hehe.

It's more that Oli is a person who is seperated from these cultures, Oli has never encountered huntergatherers, pastoralists, tribal societies outside of those found in SEAC, etc. that would prepare them for these sorts of peoples. Oli is not a coppersmith and had no reason to be trained as one and is not familiar with the local plantlife and how it has changed over time.
I imagine at this point the basics of first aid would probably be apparant to your average drek who has had to make sure their denmates don't bleed to death at one point or another (not all knowledge was lost anywho). So I think that Oli is just not equipped or knowledgeable enough of the drekir to give them any well warranted advice. Even if they did provide some useful advice it would be just as likely that the drekir would stubbornly rebuff Oli with a "I know how this works, I figured this out already"
I get reoccurring themes though some themes will occur for a reason and it just wouldn't sound plausible for Oli to have something to say or, if they do, that it would resonate with the locals who have been figuring out their new worlds for far longer than Oli has or even just that the locals already have some version of that advice known

Study more important than art, but if it's your stress relief then draw and have fun. Don't burn yourself out with all that study and smart learning. -.=.^

I tend to think drekir have a pretty good sense of empathy and at least what might make a situation worse. Everyone had a bit of a rough day though since Oli was the one that almost got gutted and seeing as Oli is not likely in the mood to receive a more blunt "Can you not?" too well.
Not saying drekir don't come at odds with eachother (they absolutely do) though in this sorta situation I imagine the more gentle approach was deemed appropriate and reasonably so
