With black feathers and a black beak, I suspect this crow is going to be rather warm in a few hours. Still, I imagine a good dust or water bath will help to beat the heat. On this particular day, after getting back to my chalet and changing into swim gear, I cooled off nicely with a dip in the sea around midday, and with the benefit of a cool breeze coming in off the sea. I also made friends with a couple of small moon jellyfish bobbing near the surface. Well, I say “made friends”; I poked the top of their bells until they got annoyed and swam down, and found it mildly entertaining.
