OG Details: I have 3 comics in the works. The one I don't think I really mentioned outside a small spoiler of Sonic's design way back, was "A Boy in Bloom."
This is where Tails is 19 and Sonic is 24 instead of them being much older during the events of Lab Play.
It not only is a comic, but sort of an Artbook type of thing. It's more than just the smut. It's a... "Themed Idea" of their young adult years.
What is that Theme/idea?
Sonic is practically ageless, timeless, due to his connection to the Chaos Emeralds much like Shadow the Hedgehog. And a lot of naivety comes with that despite his adventures, like vampires their minds are stuck in the time they were transformed, that age forever mentally and spiritually unless they actively focus on changing themselves. Tails, even with his less than common connection to the emeralds on the other hand, IS growing up. He's literally getting older, and experiencing adult things at a normal pace. This is sort of Sonic's awakening that the world around him that he held onto and took for granted is changing, and for once in his life he is trying to keep up with Tails; though not in the way he thought he ever would. Their confidence is reversed in this situation, Tails is always confident in what he's doing. He has a firm grasp on what he wants no matter the situation because he never ran away from tough spots and tough questions (he wasn't fast enough). But Sonic now exploring new things, doesn't, and is flustered with every choice, that before, he always had the luxury of running away from.
It's an adult Sonic having a boy crush on a not-so-boy-anymore Tails. A coming-of-age theme from an unexpected perspective.
