and some thoughts:
when I've watched Koe no katachi for the 1st time, I started wondering, how it would be if I was deaf
I'm very anxious person, I'm scared of strangers, I'm scared of talking to them and dealing with normal things
so I thought, "It would be way easier to deal with some things, if I just didn't hear anything and people knew that I'm deaf. Then they wouldn't talk to me and I wouldn't have to talk to them."
but then I've realized that it wouldn't be so good to me, since sounds and especially music is very important in my life, and it literally saved it multiple times
"Would it be better to hear everything, both negative (e.g. mean comments) and positive things (e.g. music), or to hear nothing at all?"
back then, I wasn't sure
but another thought came to my mind
"Would it be better to see everything or to see nothing?" because you know - in the darkness you can't see anything, you can't see the beauty of the world, but you also can't see the monsters that are hiding there
same goes with feelings - you can feel both pain and pleasure etc.
everything has at least two sides - one better and one worse
you're the one who chooses what you want to experience
